The Online HRA is a self report health risk assessment (HRA) completed by individual employees. The HRA takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and uses evidence-based health risk parameters (e.g., physical inactivity or lack of fruit and vegetable consumption) to calculate individual scores across nine health domains.
The online HRA is a cost effective alternative to a face-to face onsite health screening for your employee population.
What is the benefit for individual employees?
The Online HRA allows individuals to confidentially complete a Health Risk Assessment (HRA)

and obtain a complete “picture” of their personal wellbeing. They will receive a score out of 100 and will receive a number of recommended actions they can undertake to improve this score.
What are the benefits for your organisation?
The organisation will receive the overall wellness picture for their organisation. The results of the individual HRA scores can be grouped and analysed at a high level, and broken down by sub groups (eg department or business unit) within the organisation if desired.
The World Health Organisation’s “Health and Work Performance Questionnaire” (HPQ) has been built into the HRA. The HPQ is a self-report instrument designed to estimate the workplace costs of health problems in terms of reduced job performance, sickness absence, and work-related accidents/injuries.
The imbedding of the HPQ within the Health Risk Assessment will allow an organisation to determine:
- Levels of organisation absenteeism - being absent from work
- Levels of organisation presenteeism - being present at work but not productive (functioning to one's potential) due to less than optimal health (e.g., lack of sleep, stress).
The HPQ is an instrument generating valid data about the indirect workplace costs of employee health problems. The following case study shows one application of the HPQ in a workplace providing validated Return on Investment (ROI) data.
