We know that smoking related illnesses are the largest drain on our public health system in NZ and the OECD – it makes sense that this filtrates down to real costs of unwellness in the workplace including absenteeism, an increased risk factor for accidents and premature deaths among workers.

That’s it I Quit™ is a comprehensive programme that can be run onsite offering employees the training they need to understand their nicotine addiction. Employees motivated to quit attend a 3 hour workshop, leaving inspired to combat their addiction with a workbook to devise their own personal quit plan.

They are then each offered a one-on-one meeting with our facilitator to consolidate a robust quit plan, address any concerns or fears and commit to their quit date. This is followed up with weekly contact for a period of 8 weeks to maximise success.

Vitality Works is an accredited quit card provider which means our facilitator can prescribe subsidised Nicotine Replacement Therapy which has been proven to double the success rate among highly dependent users.

"Things are still going well. Not smoking and very proud of that!!! Still have those harder moments, but have no desire to start that filthy habit again. I'm not using the patches and use gum occasionally, but not everyday. Use the gum mostly when on the evil grape, and it definitely helps. I haven't had any slip ups...
